News release from IPFW:
IPFW and Trine partner on combination degree program for international students
(April 10, 2015) — Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) is partnering with Trine University in Angola, Ind., on an innovative undergraduate and graduate degree program designed to meet the unique needs of international students.
Through the program, international students would complete an undergraduate degree at Trine and then transfer to IPFW to complete an Indiana University graduate degree at IPFW. The master’s degrees in the program include the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Public Affairs, and Master of Public Management.
Both schools recognized a strong interest from international students in obtaining an Indiana University MBA and designed a program to create an efficient way to fill the need.
“The agreement highlights a new approach in higher education, one that is based on active collaboration and partnership between different universities,” said Maneesh Sharma, assistant dean for graduate programs and external relations in the Doermer School of Business. “We believe that such an approach, and this agreement in particular, has potential for great mutual benefit to IPFW and Trine while serving the needs of the international student community in the most effective manner possible.”
“Trine excels at providing innovative ways to deliver our programs to meet new demands, and this partnership with IPFW illustrates our efforts,” said Earl D. Brooks II, Trine president. “We look forward to teaming with IPFW to share our personalized approach to learning with a growing body of international students.”
Program details are being finalized.
