I keep forgetting to post this article to the blog. It was in last Friday’s Journal Gazette, page 1E.
Merrillville firm to expand, hire 100
White Lodging Services has announced a headquarters expansion and renovation that could create 100 jobs by 2012.
The company plans to spend more than $4 million to renovate two buildings and create a corporate headquarters of more than 60,000 square feet. It currently employs 116 at a leased headquarters in Merrillville.
White Lodging develops and manages 124 hotels in 14 states. State officials said in a statement Thursday that the company will hire vice presidents, senior directors and managers and operations staff this year.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered up to $1.5 million in tax credits and $92,000 in training grants for the expansion.
White Lodging Services is the developer of the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in the Harrison Square development.
