2011-12 Season for University Religious Forum Begins with Harry Potter
The 2011-12 season for Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne’s (IPFW’s) University Religious Forum Lecture series begins Thursday, September 15, at noon in Walb Union, Room 114-116.
The first speaker is Professor Pam Jordan-Long, department chair and academic advisor for Professional Writing and the C.S. Lewis Scholar from Taylor University in Upland, Ind. Her topic is “The World of Harry Potter: A Biblical Perspective.” Jordan-Long teaches and has written articles on the writings of C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien.
The lecture series is held monthly in Walb Union; they are free and open to the public and are sponsored by IPFW’s Campus Ministry. A simple lunch will be served at noon on a complimentary donation basis; reservations are not necessary.
