
Dairyon McClendon, 21, was found guilty following a two-day bench trial before Allen County Superior Court Judge David Zent for the August 26, 2024, shooting death of Damarion Lundy.

Dairyon McClendon Found Guilty Following Two-Day Bench Trial
Fort Wayne, Indiana (September 17, 2026) – Dairyon McClendon, 21, was found guilty following a two-day bench trial before Allen County Superior Court Judge David Zent for the August 26, 2024, shooting death of Damarion Lundy.
McClendon was found guilty of Murder, Felony Murder, Robbery, and the Handgun Enhancement.
The charges stem from the early-morning shooting of Lundy in the 4400 block of Winter Street in Fort Wayne on August 26, 2024.
Donavon Gonzalez is also charged in connection with Lundy’s death.
The case was tried by Chief Counsel Tesa Helge and Deputy Prosecutor Rachel Gschwend of the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
The Allen County Prosecutor’s Office worked closely with the Fort Wayne Police Department Homicide Division throughout the investigation and prosecution of this case. The work of the detectives in investigating Lundy’s death was instrumental in bringing the case before the Court.
Today’s verdict holds McClendon accountable for his role in Lundy’s death and represents an important step toward justice for Damarion and his family, who have lived with the loss of their loved one since August 2024.
Sentencing is scheduled for November 9,2026 at 10am.
