Dolly Parton special to air on PBS Fort Wayne tonight – 8/26/2026

PBS Fort Wayne is altering its program schedule Wednesday night, August 26, 2026, in honor of the late Dolly Parton.

Dolly Parton: Here I Am at 8:00 p.m. tonight

Fort Wayne, Indiana (August 26, 2026) — PBS Fort Wayne is altering its program schedule Wednesday night, August 26 beginning at 8:00 p.m. in honor of the late Dolly Parton so that we may present the PBS special, Dolly Parton: Here I Am. This new program will affect airtimes of other programs in the Wednesday night lineup as well.

Dolly Parton: Here I Am is a moving, musical journey through the people and places that shaped her iconic career. Featuring career-spanning archival footage of the undisputed queen of country music, the film reveals the spirit, soul and hard work of an artist who has inspired countless others. Interviews include Jane Fonda, Mac Davis and Lily Tomlin.

The new schedule for Wednesday night is now:

  • 8:00 p.m.- 9:30 p.m.: Dolly Parton: Here I Am
  • 9:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m.: NOVA: Human: Into the Americas
  • 10:30 p.m.-11:30 p.m.: INTERCONNECTIONS
  • 11:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m.: Amanpour & Company

The previously scheduled program at 10:00 p.m., Resolve To Solve with Miles O’Brien: Weathering Change Through Wind and Heat, has been pre-empted.
