Open Streets Fort Wayne announces list of activities – 8/16/2026

Today, the City of Fort Wayne announced the list of over 130 activities that will be offered during Open Streets Fort Wayne on August 16, 2026.

Open Streets Fort Wayne Announces List of Activities
Join us by wheel, heel, roll or stroll

Fort Wayne, Indiana (August 4, 2026) – Open Streets Fort Wayne today announced the list of over 130 activities that will be offered on Sunday, August 16, 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. The free, community, people-powered event will provide participants with a safe space to bike, walk, roll or stroll along more than 20 blocks on the Calhoun corridor. There will be something for people of all ages and cultures to enjoy together with games, music, food and much more planned.

New Activities:

  • Roller Dome: outdoor skating rink with DJ J.Tubbs (Skate Rental $4)
  • Fort Wayne Dance Community: open dance floor with music and performances
  • Eco Fest Fort Wayne: Zero Waste Station
  • Allen County Soil and Water Conservation District: hands-on mobile outreach unit
  • Average Pickleball Guy: pickleball tournament
  • Fort Wayne FC: Goalrilla mascot and sub soccer stations

The Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory will be providing 2,500 free admission tickets to the Conservatory again this year when you visit activity and sponsor booths, and Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream will provide free ice cream cones. BMX performances will take place at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.


Open Streets Fort Wayne is a unique way to get some exercise, socialize with new and old friends, visit the businesses on historic Calhoun and enjoy free activities along the route.

Open Streets is presented by the Public Works Division of the City of Fort Wayne. Sponsors include Fort Wayne Community Schools, Indiana Donor Network, IU Heath, Lincoln Financial Group, Linke Urology + Robotics, Fort Wayne SEED, WANE 15, K105 and 97.3 WMEE.
