Rolling slowdowns planned for I-469
Allen County, Indiana (July 10, 2026) – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces multiple rolling slowdowns on I-469 for utility work.
Crews working for AEP – Indiana Michigan Power will be performing work on aerial utilities over I-469 at approximately mile marker 16. The rolling slowdowns will take place in both directions of the interstate between approximately mile marker 13 and mile marker 19.
The rolling slowdowns are expected to take place overnights from July 11 through July 15, beginning at or after 9 p.m. and ending by 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday and ending by 7 a.m. Monday through Thursday. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
Each rolling slowdown is expected to last for no longer than 10 minutes with a 20 minute break between each slowdown.
INDOT encourages drivers to consider safety for all by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when travelling in and around all work zones.
