Fort Wayne Police Department incident Report Details/Summary:
On June 27, 2026, at 12:47am, officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the area of Eckart St and Weisser Park Ave after a 911 call reporting a person was shot. Officers arrived and located an adult male lying in the street, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s). Paramedics arrived and pronounced the male deceased.
Officers are currently canvassing the area, attempting to locate any witnesses, video surveillance, or evidence that may help determine what led to the male being shot. There are currently no suspects.
The identity of the decedent as well as the cause and manner of death will be released by the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
