On Saturday, May 30, 2026, at approximately 12:22 a.m., the Fort Wayne Police Department received a Flock Audio Detection alert indicating possible gunfire in the area of Clinton Street and Rudisill Boulevard. One minute later, at 12:23 a.m., dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call reporting a shooting involving an adult male lying on the ground in the 200 block of East Rudisill Boulevard, between the Shell gas station and Little Caesars Pizza.
Officers and medics responded to the scene and located an unconscious adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wound(s). Despite lifesaving efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Homicide detectives, Crime Scene Technicians, and the Air Support Unit responded to assist with the investigation. Detectives are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the area and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information related to the shooting to contact the Fort Wayne Police Department as soon as possible.
The investigation remains ongoing and is being conducted with the assistance of the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
