At approximately 9:50 p.m. on May 7, 2026, the Fort Wayne Police Department received a report of a possible shooting in the 200 block of East Maple Grove Avenue. Patrol officers responded to the scene and located an active incident requiring further investigation.
Officers and detectives are currently interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence. The FWPD Homicide Team, Crime Scene Unit, and Air Support Unit were requested to assist and are actively engaged in the investigation..
This incident remains under active investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department Homicide Team. No additional information is available for release at this time.
