Book drive launches to support FWCS Study Connection
Fort Wayne, Indiana (April 20, 2026) – Summit City Climbing Co., Sunbound Books and Indiana Wesleyan University – Fort Wayne are hosting a book drive to support Study Connection at Fort Wayne Community Schools.
New and gently used children’s books can be dropped off from April 20–30 at the following locations:
- Summit City Climbing Co., 1331 E. Berry St.
- Sunbound Books, 325 N. Anthony Blvd. or online
- Indiana Wesleyan University, 8211 W. Jefferson Blvd.
- Wendy Y. Robinson Family and Community Engagement Center, 230 E.
Douglas Ave.The book drive supports focus on early literacy at FWCS and ensuring students are reading at grade level by the end of third grade. Books collected will help students build home libraries and encourage a habit of reading beyond the classroom.
Study Connection pairs community volunteers one-to-one with students identified by their teachers as needing additional academic support. Pairs meet for one hour each week during the school year, building reading skills through extra practice, mentorship and family engagement.
