The City of Fort Wayne invites the public to attend a Meet the Contractor Meeting to learn more about the 2026 construction schedule for the Illinois Road Trail and Road Improvement Project.

Public Meeting: Illinois Road Trail & Road Improvement Project

Fort Wayne, Indiana (March 10, 2026) – The City of Fort Wayne invites the public to attend a Meet the Contractor Meeting to learn more about the 2026 construction schedule for the Illinois Road Trail and Road Improvement Project.

The meeting will be held at 3:00 p.m., March 25 in the basement Omni Room at Citizens Square, 200 E. Berry Street. There will be free parking in the Citizens Square parking lot off Berry Street.

During the meeting, project representatives from the City of Fort Wayne and Bunn Excavating will share information about the project which consists of road resurfacing from Grand National Drive/Magnavox Way to West Jefferson Boulevard, widening of the road from Getz Road to the Avenue of Autos, inclusion of offset turn lanes at four intersections, narrowing the lane width to 11 feet, and constructing a 10-foot wide multi-use trail from Getz Road to North Rockhill Park.
