Fort Wayne, Indiana (March 10, 2026) – Two of America’s preeminent classic rock bands, KANSAS and 38 Special, are coming for an incredible night of classic rock live at Fort Wayne’s Foellinger Theatre on Friday, July 10. The concert is hosted by Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation in partnership with Exceptional Artists and Mammoth.

Fans will hear iconic KANSAS classics including “Carry on Wayward Son,” “Dust in the Wind,” “Point of Know Return,” “Play the Game Tonight,” and “The Wall,” along with 38 Special favorites such as “Hold on Loosely,” “Rockin’ into the Night,” “Caught Up in You,” and “Fantasy Girl.”

With a legendary career spanning five decades, KANSAS has firmly established itself as one of America’s iconic classic rock bands. This “garage band” from Topeka released their debut album in 1974 after being discovered by Wally Gold, who worked for Don Kirshner, and have gone on to sell more than 30 million albums worldwide.

Composing a catalogue that includes 16 studio albums and five live albums, KANSAS has produced eight gold albums, three sextuple-Platinum albums (Leftoverture, Point of Know Return, Best of KANSAS), one platinum live album (Two for the Show), one quadruple-Platinum single “Carry on Wayward Son,” and another triple-Platinum single “Dust in the Wind.” KANSAS appeared on the Billboard charts for over 200 weeks throughout the ‘70’s and ‘80’s and played to sold-out arenas and stadiums throughout North America, Europe and Japan. “Carry on Wayward Son” continues to be one of the top five most played songs on classic rock radio, and “Dust in the Wind” has been played on the radio more than three million times!

50 years together. 20 million albums sold. More than 15 albums of guitar-driven southern rock stacked high with hits like “Hold on Loosely,” “Caught Up in You,” “If I’d Been the One,” “Back Where you Belong,” and “Second Chance.” 38 Special is proof that there’s strength in numbers.

Formed in 1974, the band toured tirelessly from the start, sharpening the explosive live show that’s been 38 Special’s calling card for a half-century. Along the way, the Florida natives fine-tuned their sound too: a blend of muscle and melody, filled with the arena-rock pop hooks that would soon become staples of FM radio. Years passed…trends changed…some band members retired from the rigors…but 38 Special remained, hitting the road year after year, flying the flag for an enduring form of classic rock & roll that never dies.
