- Run a small trickle of lukewarm water to keep water flowing and help prevent pipes from freezing.
- Open cabinet doors to allow warmer air to circulate around pipes under sinks.
- Make sure everyone in your home knows the location of the main water shut-off valve in case water needs to be turned off quickly.
Taking precautions now can help prevent frozen pipes, costly repairs, and service disruptions during extreme cold.
