What’s Happening in the Parks June 12 – 13

Games! Dogs! Play!: Saturday, June 12, 9 am – 1 pm, Salomon Farm Park
Don’t miss this event, dog-gone-it! It will be the most fun you have all year, paws down! It’s a dog’s day at Salomon Farm Park, 817 W. Dupont Rd., with vendors, demonstrations, adoptable dogs, rescue groups, and the opportunity to compete against other canine/human teams in agility and obedience games. Registration is required to compete in the games, but the event is open to the public free of charge. On-site registration is $15. Revolutionary War, The Western Front: June 12 & 13, The Old Fort
Join General Washington and the Continental Army as they demonstrate life when the United States was being created. Demonstrations will include period cooking, gardening, military life, and much more! The Fort will be open to the
public Saturday, June 12, 11 am – 8 pm and Sunday, June 13, 11am – 4 pm. Admission: Free will donation.

Botanical Brew & Q: Sunday, June 13, 4 – 8 pm, Botanical Conservatory
Did you know that there are 23 categories of beer and 78 subcategories of beer? Well you do now and we’re going to show you the basics of how beer is made. Local home brewers will demonstrate their passion while you enjoy samples of micro brews and learn about the some of the history of brewing in Fort Wayne. You’ll also be able to enjoy great live music and buy some local award winning BBQ for dinner. Free root beer floats! At 5:30 p.m. we’ll announce the winners of our Botanical Brew Competition and hold the Best of Show judging. Admission is $5/adult, $3 child age 3-17, free for children 2 and under.
