
On October 27, 2020, at 0023 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 2800 block of Beaver Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Under Control: 0055 hours
Firefighters arrived on the scene to find a two-story home with the first and second floors fully involved in fire. Multiple hose lines were used to extinguish the fire and protect the surrounding structures that were in close proximity to the home. Damage throughout the home required extensive overhaul and location and extinguishing of hidden fire in the walls.
The homeowner and daughter had self-evacuated from the home prior to FWFD arrival, but pets were still reported inside. One cat was rescued but a dog and cat perished. One cat was unaccounted for and had possibly escaped.
Investigators were on scene with cause undetermined at this time.
