
On March 11, 2022, at 1152 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 1300 block of Dubois Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Time of Alarm: 1152 hours
On Scene: 1154 hours
Under Control: 1221 hours
Upon firefighters arrival, they found smoke coming from a small residential structure possibly coming from the attic. Crews made entry to find the fire and complete a search. The house was filled with smoke which hampered efforts to initially find the fire. A small fire was located towards the rear interior of the home. The fire was quickly extinguished and followed by a thorough salvage and overhaul to catch any hidden hot spots.
The search found two dogs and they were evacuated by firefighters. Nothing else found on initial search, however, a deceased cat was found on a secondary search.
The fire is under investigation.
