FWFD: House Fire, 6700 block South Anthony Boulevard

On April 4, 2024, at 1629 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to the report of a house fire in the 6700 block of South Anthony Boulevard, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 1629 hours
On Scene: 1631 hours
Under Control: 1654 hours

Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke and fire showing from the home from multiple sides. Crews pulled handlines and entered the structure making sure all occupants were out while extinguishing the fire. Crews were hampered by electrical issues while fighting the fire. Firefighters continued working on the fire for a period of time to ensure the fire was extinguished.

Four cats were pulled from the house and two of them perished.

Cause of the fire was found to be an accidental electrical issue.

Water Damage: Moderate
Smoke Damage: Heavy
