Details/Summary:
Fort Wayne Police Department Homicide Detectives have made an arrest in the July 27, 2019 shooting death of Jamarcus Kindred at Lafayette and Williams. Kindred was found in a parking lot after being called in as a man down. When officers arrived they found the male suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The arrest warrant for Demetre Payton was issued and served yesterday afternoon. Payton was served a warrant for Murder at the Allen County Jail where he was currently being held for Possession of a Handgun without a Permit.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
