On May 23, 2021, at 0306 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the Mambo Room at 2701 West Jefferson Boulevard in reference to a shooting.

On Sunday, 05/23/2021, at approximately 3:06 AM, the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the Mambo Room located at 2701 West Jefferson Blvd. reference a shooting. Dispatch received several calls indicating someone had been shot.
Officers arrived and located the male/adult victim lying in the parking lot of the business. The victim was suffering from several apparent gunshot wounds. Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital in serious condition. Upon arriving at the hospital his condition was downgraded to life-threatening by a physician.
Detectives are interviewing numerous patrons that were at the bar when the shooting occurred. There is no suspect information to provide at this time.
This incident remains under investigation by the City of Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
