Statement from Mayor Sharon Tucker on passage of 2027 City of Fort Wayne budget

Fort Wayne, Indiana (October 27, 2026) – I’m encouraged by the progress and positive momentum we’re experiencing in Fort Wayne.

I believe many aspects of the 2027 City of Fort Wayne budget that was passed tonight will position our community for current and future success.

Our commitment to neighborhood infrastructure, public safety, parks, and community development activities is unmatched and noticed by our wonderful residents, neighborhoods, and businesses.

I’m looking forward to ensuring that Fort Wayne is the best city possible to live, work, and play with unique quality of life amenities that make our community fun, family friendly, and safe.
