Traffic Advisory: New traffic signal at Maplecrest and Parrott Roads

The Allen County Highway Department announces that a newly installed traffic signal at the intersection of Maplecrest and Parrott Roads will officially become fully operational on October 15, 2026.

Traffic Advisory: New Traffic Signal at the intersection of Maplecrest and Parrott Roads

Allen County, Indiana (October 8, 2026) – The Allen County Highway Department announces that a newly installed traffic signal will officially become fully operational on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at the intersection of Maplecrest and Parrott Roads.

The signal is scheduled for full activation starting in the morning hours at 10:00 AM.

What to Expect Before Activation:

  • Flashing Mode: To alert motorists to the new infrastructure, the signal will remain in flash mode from now until the official activation on Thursday morning.

Driver Guidelines & Safety Impact:

Drivers should expect changes to the normal traffic flow and are advised to utilize the following precautions:

  • Stay Alert: Watch closely for sudden stops by other motorists adjusting to the new signal pattern.
  • Obey Markings: Ensure your vehicle stops completely behind the painted white stop bars at the intersection.
  • Expect Delays: Please allow extra travel time through this area during the first week of operation as local traffic patterns adjust.
