Snider High School Bicentennial class of 1976 to celebrate 50 year anniversary with numerous events
Fort Wayne, Indiana (October 9, 2026) – The Snider High School Class of 1976 will mark the occasion of their 50th anniversary with this weekend, October 9 – 11. Former classmates will commemorate five decades of friendship, memories and shared history.
The Class of 1976 graduated over 550 students and holds a special place in Snider High School history. Not only was it a class to graduate in the year of our country’s bicentennial, but it was the first class that included students from both Lane and Blackhawk Junior High Schools (Middle Schools).
The celebration will begin on October 9th when former students will be shuttled from the Grand Wayne Center to the new Snider High School Russ Isaacs Stadium where they will enjoy a football game between the Snider Panthers and longtime rival Bishop Dwenger Saints at 7:00 p.m. At the game, the group will receive commemorative T-shirts and be recognized as the Bicentennial class of 1976.
On Saturday, October 10, the class has been invited to tour Snider High School. There they will have the opportunity to take a trip down memory lane, reconnect with old friends and witness the renovations that have occurred during the last 50 years.
The celebration will continue at 7:00 p.m. on October 10 when the Snider High School Class of 1976 will meet at the Lincoln Event Center at Parkview Field for their 50th Anniversary reunion. There, they will enjoy snacks and beverages and the chance to renew old acquaintances.
Fifty years later, the Class of 1976 is coming home!
