At the beginning of the October 7, 2026, Council meeting, County Council will reopen the 2027 Budget Hearings to allow for public comment on any of the budgets under their authority.

Fort Wayne, Indiana (October 5, 2026) – At the beginning of the October 7, 2026, Council meeting, County Council will reopen the 2027 Budget Hearings to allow for public comment on any of the budgets under their authority. This includes Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority, Allen County Fire and EMS District, and Allen County Government.
The 2027 Budgets for these units will then be adopted at the newly scheduled October 19, 2026, County Council meeting. This will be held at 5:30 pm in Citizens Square in the Chambers room 035.
