Last Chance! Downtown survey closes soon
Fort Wayne, Indiana (September 28, 2026) – Time is running out to take the Make It Downtown survey, the key public engagement tool for the new ten‑year strategic plan for downtown Fort Wayne.
Everyone who lives, works or visits downtown Fort Wayne is encouraged to take the survey at https://tinyurl.com/cm8nmhwc before October 8. Once people take the survey, they can enter a drawing for a $25 gift card to downtown businesses and restaurants.
“Downtown Fort Wayne has seen tremendous growth over the last 20 years, and now the question is ‘where do we go from here?’” said Community Development Director Jonathan Leist. “It’s critical for the public to share their opinions through the survey now so the plan reflects what people want to see happening in the heart of our community over the next ten years.”

Development of the new downtown plan has broad support from community partners, with funding provided by the Allen County Board of Commissioners, Richard D. Waterfield Charitable Fund at the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne, Downtown Fort Wayne, Greater Fort Wayne Inc., the City of Fort Wayne’s Community Development Division, Fort Wayne New Markets Revitalization Fund, and SEED Fort Wayne.
The completed plan is expected to be finalized in April 2027 before being presented to the Fort Wayne Plan Commission and City Council for adoption.
