Traffic Alert: Two-Lane Restriction on Clinton Street
Water Valve Box Replacement Begins Thursday Morning

Fort Wayne, Indiana (September 23, 2026) — City Utilities crews will replace a water valve box on Clinton Street beginning at 9 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2026.

The work will require a two-lane closure, with traffic shifting near the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Bridge and continuing past Headwaters Park.

The work, including permanent pavement restoration, is expected to take two days, allowing the roadway to be returned to normal without a separate future closure for final paving.

Drivers should allow additional time when traveling through the area.
