Public Meeting: Broadway and Taylor Corridors Improvement Project
Fort Wayne, Indiana (September 21, 2026) – The City of Fort Wayne invites residents to attend a public meeting for an overview of scheduled improvements to the Broadway & Taylor corridors.
The meeting will be held at Electric Works in the Crawford Room, 1690 Broadway, Building 19, on Wednesday, September 30, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Free parking is available for two hours in the Electric Works parking garage or the surface lot south of the building.
During the meeting, a team from Public Works will discuss an overview of why the project is needed, proposed improvements to address those needs and the next steps for the proposed project.
This project will address safety issues and improve accessibility along the Broadway-Taylor corridors. Proposed improvements include constructing a low-speed, single-lane roundabout, installing pedestrian refuge islands, improving lighting and crosswalk visibility, and ensuring ADA compliance for multi-modal transportation users. These enhancements are intended to create safer, more efficient roadways for all users, including pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists.
