The National Weather Service Northern Indiana reports strong thunderstorms are entering our area.

…STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT WESTERN ALLEN…SOUTHEASTERN
WHITLEY AND NORTHEASTERN HUNTINGTON COUNTIES THROUGH 945 PM EDT…

At 920 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Churubusco to 7 miles southeast of South
Whitley. Movement was east at 30 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Fort Wayne, Huntertown, Grabill, Aboite, Leo-cedarville, Roanoke,
Laud, Nine Mile, Dunfee, Goblesville, Coesse, Wallen, Washington
Center, Raber, Arcola, Rolling Hills, Lake Everett, Luther, and
Peabody.

This includes the following highways…
Interstate 469 near mile marker 0, between mile markers 2 and 3,
between mile markers 7 and 8, and between mile markers 25 and 30.
Interstate 69 in Indiana between mile markers 295 and 319.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
