Fort Wayne Police Department incident Report Details/Summary:
On September 9, 2026, at approximately 8:57 p.m., the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 800 block of Buchanan Street. Callers reported multiple shots fired and at least two individuals struck.
Upon arrival, officers located two victims who were unconscious. Medics were requested, and both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Officers later located a third victim suffering from gunshot wound(s). Officers provided immediate first aid, and medics transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.
Officers and detectives canvassed the area and collected evidence. The FWPD Homicide Team, Crime Scene Unit, and Air Support Unit responded to assist and continue the investigation.
This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Coroner’s Office.
