Fort Wayne Police Department incident Report Details/Summary:
On Friday, September 4th, officers from the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 4500 block of Schmucker Drive for a reported rape. After arriving, they conducted an initial investigation, and a detective from the Crimes Against Persons (CAPS) section was assigned to the case.
The department has identified the suspect as 18-year-old Jaiveon Wilkins from Fort Wayne. He was taken into custody by officers this morning in connection with this case and transported to the Allen County Jail. He is preliminarily charged with incest (a level five felony) and rape (a level three felony).
The Fort Wayne Police Department thanks the personnel of the Sexual Assault Treatment Center (SATC) for their assistance and cooperation in the investigation.
