NWS: Flood Watch in effect until 11 AM EDT – 8/14/2026

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch in effect until August 14, 2026, at 11am EDT.

...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of northern Indiana, including the following
  areas, Adams, Allen IN, Blackford, Cass IN, Fulton IN, Grant,
  Huntington, Jay, Marshall, Miami, Northern Kosciusko, Pulaski,
  Southern Kosciusko, Southern La Porte, Starke, Wabash, Wells and
  Whitley and northwest Ohio, including the following areas, Allen
  OH and Van Wert.

* WHEN...Through Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
  in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be
  flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Radar indicates 3 to 8 inches with isolated locations
    receiving 8 to 12 inches of rain fell across much of the area
    the past 3 days. Additional heavy rain is possible Thursday
    afternoon and evening. Rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per
    hour are possible in thunderstorms. This may lead to
    additional flooding, especially in areas that received very
    heavy rain yesterday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
