Fort Wayne Police Department incident Report Details/Summary:
On July 6, 2026, at approximately 4:00 a.m., the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to reports of gunshots fired in the 6000 block of Southcrest Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered a residence that had been struck multiple times by gunfire, along with several shell casings located in the roadway.
Officers checked the residence and located two young juveniles inside who had sustained injuries. Both were immediately transported to a local hospital in serious but non–life-threatening condition.
Officers and detectives canvassed the area and collected evidence at the scene. The FWPD Homicide Team, Crime Scene Unit, and Air Support Unit were requested to assist and continue the investigation.
