On July 5, 2026, at 0300 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to reports of a disturbance involving an armed individual at the Shell gas station, Broadway Express, in the 1900 block of Broadway, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Fort Wayne Police Department incident Report Details/Summary:
Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) responded to the Shell gas station in the 1900 block of Broadway after receiving reports of a disturbance involving an armed individual. While officers were en route, two victims arrived at a local hospital, one with apparent gunshot wound(s). Medical staff determined that one victim was in life-threatening condition and the other sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Homicide detectives are currently on scene interviewing witnesses and reviewing any available surveillance footage. The Crime Scene Unit is collecting evidence and documenting the area, with support from the Air Support Unit.
