The Do it Best Foundation celebrates Cookin’ Fort Wayne success with major check presentation
Fort Wayne, Indiana (June 23, 2026 — The Do it Best Foundation celebrated the success of Cookin’ Fort Wayne with a check presentation to the event’s beneficiary, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Indiana (RMHC of Northeast Indiana). The $100,000 donation represents a contribution from the Do it Best Foundation in addition to proceeds raised during the successful Cookin’ Fort Wayne event held last month.
Cookin’ Fort Wayne brought together over 70 local chefs and more than 750 community members in support of families with hospitalized children. Hosted by the Do it Best Foundation, the event was a memorable evening of community impact, with all proceeds benefiting RMHC of Northeast Indiana.
Do it Best Foundation Executive Director Curtis Smith said, “We were thrilled by the incredible support shown at this year’s Cookin’ Fort Wayne event, from the participating chefs and sponsors to the more than 750 attendees who helped make the evening such a success. Bringing the community together in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Indiana made for a truly meaningful event, and we’re proud the proceeds will help provide families with the support they need during difficult circumstances.”
“Every family who walks through our doors is navigating a medical crisis with their child,” said Jenifer Veatch, CEO of RMHC of Northeast Indiana. “This partnership with the Do it Best Foundation and the funds raised through Cookin’ Fort Wayne help us continue our mission of keeping families close during difficult times and providing the support they need while their child receives medical care. We’re incredibly grateful for their commitment to the families we serve.”
The Do it Best Foundation has kicked off planning next year’s Cookin’ Fort Wayne event, which will take place on May 13, 2027 at Electric Works.
