South Anthony Boulevard will close to through traffic between Pontiac Street and Oxford Street beginning June 1, 2026, as City Utilities crews replace a 12-inch water main that dates to 1919.

Traffic Alert: South Anthony Closure Begins Monday
Fort Wayne, Indiana (May 31, 2026) – South Anthony Boulevard will close to through traffic between Pontiac Street and Oxford Street beginning Monday, June 1, as City Utilities crews replace a 12-inch water main that dates to 1919.
The closure is expected to last through Friday. The intersections of Oxford Street and South Anthony Boulevard and Pontiac Street and South Anthony Boulevard will remain open.
Drivers traveling north or south on South Anthony should use Wayne Trace between Oxford Street and Pontiac Street as a detour.
Side streets will remain open to allow local access, so residents in the area can access their driveways.
City Utilities is replacing water mains in the Oxford neighborhood and helping residents replace lead service lines on their property.
