The Allen County Coroner has identified Ali Gyiu as the 6th Allen County Homicide in 2026.
News release from the Allen County Coroner:
Fort Wayne, Indiana (May 6, 2026) – The Allen County Coroner’s Office has identified and made notifications to the next of kin of the deceased individual that was found shot in the 4500 Block of Bowser Avenue, Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana, at about 01:21 hours, Tuesday, May 5, 2026. He has been positively identified as Ali Gyi, male Asian, age 49, of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was pronounced deceased on scene.
Ali Gyi’s Cause of Death is Gunshot Wound of Head, and Manner of Death is Homicide.
Ali Gyi is the 6th Homicide for Fort Wayne and Allen County in 2026.
The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Proscutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
