The Allen County Coroner has identified Erica Ann Eggeman the 5th Allen County Homicide in 2026.
News release from the Allen County Coroner:
Fort Wayne, Indiana (April 29, 2026) – On April 27th of 2026 the Allen County Coroner’s Office was notified by the Fort Wayne Police Department in reference to an apparent Homicide at 7911 Decatur Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana. The decedent was pronounced dead at the scene by the Fort Wayne Fire Department.
The autopsy has been completed, and she has been positively identified as Erica Ann Eggeman, White, Female age 42 of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Erica Ann Eggeman’s Cause of Death is Multiple Stab and Incised Wounds, and the Manner of Death is Homicide. This is Allen County’s 5th Homicide this year.
This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
