
Fort Wayne Mayor Sharon Tucker today announced that the City of Fort Wayne will host a 4th of July Parade on Saturday, July 4, 2026, to honor the 250th anniversary of the United States of America.

Mayor Tucker announces 4th of July Parade to commemorate 250th anniversary of the United States
Fort Wayne, Indiana (Apri1 17, 2026) – Mayor Sharon Tucker today announced that the City of Fort Wayne will host a 4th of July Parade at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 4 to honor the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. This historic celebration is a way to honor our nation’s legacy while showcasing the pride, diversity and unity in Fort Wayne.
“It was important for me to be able to host a meaningful celebration for the residents of Fort Wayne and visitors to our great city to enjoy,” said Mayor Tucker. “We’re blessed each day by the freedoms and opportunities we have to make a positive difference. I’m hopeful that this special parade will give individuals and families something to look forward to, and inspire a bright outlook for the future.”
Residents, families and visitors are invited to line the parade route on South Calhoun Street, beginning at Creighton Avenue and ending at Main Street. This family-friendly event is open to all.
The theme of the parade is Celebrate America, 250 Years United. There are still spots available for volunteers and those who would like to participate in the parade. More information and a participation application will be available here.
