New Haven Celebrates the Season with Annual Holiday Homecoming Event
New Haven, Indiana (November 19, 2025) — The City of New Haven is gearing up to ring in the holiday season.
The annual Holiday Homecoming celebration will kick off this Saturday, Nov. 22, in downtown New Haven with plenty of family-friendly activities. Attendees can expect to see free food and drinks, live performances, contests and giveaways hosted by local businesses, carriage rides, and of course, photos with Santa Claus.
Holiday Homecoming serves not only as a way to celebrate the season, but also as a way to engage the community and local businesses. “This event is a great way to close out the year,” said New Haven Mayor Steve McMichael. “As we enter a season of love and joy, we hope residents will join us in the fun and share a moment of cheer, remembering all the things that make our city so beautiful!”
This event will kick off with a performance by the Woodlan High School Choir at 5 p.m. followed by Santa’s arrival at 5:30 p.m.to light up Downtown New Haven. Santa will be joined by 4th grader Briella S., who recently won the mayor’s annual Christmas card contest.
