Traffic Alert: Lahmeyer Road closure begins tomorrow – 7/3/2025

Contractors will begin installing a new 12-inch diameter feeder main along Lahmeyer Road which will result in the closure of the road until the end of August, 2025.

Traffic Alert: New Feeder Main to Close Lahmeyer Road
Closure Begins Thursday, July 3

Fort Wayne, Indiana (July 2, 2025) – Contractors will begin installing a new 12-inch diameter feeder main along Lahmeyer Road. To complete this work, Lahmeyer will be closed to all traffic — except local traffic — between Trier Road and East State Boulevard beginning mid-morning Thursday, July 3, 2025. The closure is expected to last through the end of August 2025.

Detour routes will be posted, with Maplecrest Road serving as the primary north-south detour. Additional traffic signage will be in place to guide drivers.

The feeder main will add redundancy and improve water pressure to the area’s neighborhoods.
