Open House to Celebrate National Water Quality Award
Fort Wayne, Indiana (June 27, 2025) — City Utilities invites the public to a special open house and recognition event on Wednesday, July 2, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Three Rivers Filtration Plant, 415 Baltes Avenue (across the street from the Old Fort).
The event celebrates the Utility’s 25-Year Directors Award from the Partnership for Safe Water, a national honor recognizing long-term excellence in water treatment and public health protection.
The award reflects a legacy of excellence in water treatment and the team’s unwavering commitment to delivering clean, safe water every day.
Staff will be on hand to explain how the plant treats and delivers high-quality drinking water and to share the history of the iconic facility.
Free parking is available on site. Please follow posted signs upon arrival.
The Partnership for Safe Water 25-Year Directors Award is sponsored by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the American Water Works Association (AWWA), the World Environmental Federation (WEF), the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies (AMWA, the Association of State Drinking Water Administrators (ASDWA), the National Association of Water Companies (NAWC), and the Water Research Foundation (WRF).
