On May 9, 2025, the Fort Wayne Police Department received a report alleging that a rape had occurred the previous day in the 400 block of Violet Court.

Details/Summary:
On May 9th, 2025, the Fort Wayne Police Department received a report alleging that a rape had occurred the previous day. Officers began the investigation and Detective Michelle Brown of the Crimes Against Persons Section (CAPS) was assigned to the case. During the investigation, Detective Brown discovered that the victim is a seventeen (17) year old juvenile. She disclosed that the defendant raped her in a bedroom in his home on Violet Court. Today, Officers of the Gang and Violent Crimes Unit took the defendant into custody, and he was transported to the Allen County Jail reference his charges. The Fort Wayne Police Department thanks the staff at the Dr. Bill Lewis Center for Children and the Sexual Assault Treatment Center for their assistance and cooperation in this investigation.
