Details/Summary:
On April 8th, 2025 the Fort Wayne Police Department received a complaint of a sexual battery that occurred in the 3300 block of Cheviot Dr. Detective Volz of the Crimes Against Persons Unit (CAPS), was assigned the investigation. During the investigation, Detective Volz learned the victim is a 20 year old woman who was seeking employment with Nedzad Mehic. The victim accompanied Mehic to an apartment that she was to clean. While in the apartment Mehic sexually battered the victim. Mehic was located and arrested. Detective Volz was assisted by officer of the Southeast Quadrant and the Sexual Assault Treatment Center.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
