Carmeli’s Dough grand opening set for May 9
Fort Wayne, Indiana (May 6, 2025) – Carmeli’s Dough, a bakery and sister company of Pasta di Guy will hold its grand opening on Friday, May 9 at Union Street Market. A new concept by Chef Guy Carmeli, Carmeli’s Dough will continue the company’s commitment to high-quality, made-from-scratch food by serving donuts, bread and more at Union Street Market and also offering products for wholesale purchase.
“Our experience at Union Street Market has been a success, as we are thrilled to open our second location, bringing fresh baked goods to the community,” said Carmeli.
Carmeli launched Pasta di Guy as a food truck in Florida in 2019 before expanding to two restaurants in Tampa Bay and Wesley Chapel, Florida. Pasta di Guy opened its first location in Fort Wayne at Union Street Market in January 2024. Carmeli’s culinary background includes training at Le Cordon Bleu in London and a deep-rooted passion for Italian-inspired cuisine. The decision to open in Fort Wayne was influenced by his wife’s ties to the area and his appreciation for the local community.
Carmeli’s Dough will be located directly across from Pasta di Guy, in the East Hall of Union Street Market on the Electric Works Campus.
“Carmeli’s Dough will be the perfect addition to Union Street Market, and we look forward to supporting Guy and his team in their efforts to serve tenants and visitors at Electric Works while also operating a successful wholesale business,” said Scott Fergusson, managing director of Union Street Market.
