FWCS celebrates nearly 2,900 years of service by 120 retirees
Fort Wayne, Indiana (April 29, 2025) – As the 2024-25 school year comes to an end, Fort Wayne Community Schools says goodbye to 120 retirees with nearly 2,900 combined years of service to the children of FWCS.
The district wishes the best to the teachers, classroom assistants, secretaries and administrators, all of whom dedicated many years to making the lives of children better. The years of service to FWCS for this year’s group of retirees range from 2 to nearly 46, with many spending additional years in other school corporations. The retiree list includes many veteran educators who made a significant difference in the lives of students over the decades.
The retirees will be honored at a retirement dinner at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at the Indiana Tech Multi-Flex Theater, 1600 E. Washington Blvd.
