The City of Fort Wayne Street Department is currently pretreating the City’s main arterial intersections with liquid brine to reduce ice build-up in preparation for possible freezing rain predicted to begin falling this evening.

City Crews Preparing for Icy Roads
Fort Wayne, Indiana (February 5, 2025) – The City of Fort Wayne Street Department is currently pretreating the City’s main arterial intersections with liquid brine to reduce ice build-up in preparation for possible freezing rain predicted to begin falling this evening. Crews are also coming in early this evening so that they are ready if and when the ice event takes place.
