Foellinger Foundation awards $2,656,250 in grants for Allen County agencies

Foellinger Foundation’s Board of Directors recently approved grants totaling $2,656,250 to support nonprofit organizations in Allen County.

Foellinger Foundation Awards $2,656,250 in Grants to Support Early Childhood Development, Family Development, and Capacity Building in Allen County

Fort Wayne, Indiana (February 4, 2025) – Foellinger Foundation’s Board of Directors recently approved grants totaling $2,656,250 to support nonprofit organizations in Allen County. These grants were awarded in three key areas: Early Childhood Development, Family Development, and Capacity Building.

“These grants represent our ongoing commitment to partnering with effective nonprofits that address key challenges in our community,” said Foellinger Foundation’s President and CEO, Sarah Strimmenos.
Seven Early Childhood Development grants totaling $645,000 were awarded to organizations focused on helping children achieve developmental milestones and enable parents and providers to support children’s health and well-being. Recipients include:

  1. Building Blocks Outreach
  2. Early Childhood Alliance
  3. Healthier Moms and Babies
  4. Learning Community
  5. Little Thinkers School of Early Learning
  6. Martin Luther King Montessori School
  7. New Covenant Academy

Nineteen Family Development grants totaling $1,976,500 were awarded to nonprofits providing essential services and resources to empower families. Recipients include:

  • Amani Family Services
  • Associated Churches
  • Blue Jacket
  • Community Harvest Food Bank
  • Community Transportation Network
  • Cross Connections
  • East Wayne Street Center
  • Homebound Meals
  • Just Neighbors
  • LTC Ombudsman Program
  • NeighborLink
  • Positive Resource Connection
  • Redemption House
  • St. Vincent de Paul Society of Fort Wayne
  • Super Shot
  • Turnstone Center
  • Vincent Village
  • Volunteer Lawyer Program
  • YWCA Northeast Indiana

Four Capacity Building grants totaling $34,750 were awarded to support board-driven organizational efforts, ensuring sustainability and operational effectiveness.
