Fort Wayne Sport Club to host Winter Spiel Nacht
Winter Game Night Includes Euchre and Corn Hole TournamentsFort Wayne, Indiana (Janaury 11, 2025) – A Spiel Nacht (game night) will be held in Fort Wayne on Saturday, February 8th, starting at 5:00 p.m. The Fort Wayne Sport Club, located at 3102 Ardmore Ave in Fort Wayne, will host the event.
Are you ready for some indoor sports and libations? Plan on coming out to the Sport Club for our Winter Spiel Nacht (game night) celebration and get involved in the Corn Hole and Euchre tournaments. You can come out on your own or invite others to come with you. We’ll match you up with fun members of the Sport Club. All teams will be put together with a blind draw. The doors will open at 5:00 p.m. with the draw for partners at 6:00 p.m. Game play will begin at 6:30 p.m.
There will also be drink specials and a good time for all. Great draft beers are also available at the Fort Wayne Sport Club bar including Michelob Ultra, Stella Artois, Weihenstephan, Hofbrau Dunkel, Hofbrau Oktoberfest, Franzishaner Weissbier, Spaten, Kona Big Wave, Hop River Lazers in the Jungle IPA and Modelo Especial, (all subject to change). Many fine bottled beers are also available at the full-service bar.
The Fort Wayne Sport Club was founded in 1927 by an active group of soccer players who immigrated to the Fort Wayne area from Germany in the aftermath of World War I. Their immediate goal was ‘the promotion of football (soccer) and German culture’ in the Northeast Indiana area. Today, the Fort Wayne Sport Club is a hub of soccer activity, with programs for recreational and competitive soccer players from age 4-years to 30-and-over. “We are extremely proud of our long history and heritage of encouraging participation in soccer at all levels throughout the area,” stated Dan Kruse, President of Fort Wayne Sport Club. The Fort Wayne Sport Club is a member of Indiana Soccer, which is the state-wide representative of US Youth Soccer, US Adult Soccer and US Soccer. Since 1992, 112 people have been inducted into the Indiana Soccer Hall of Fame. Now, nine of those 112 are Fort Wayne Sport Club members, still the most from any club in the state.
