Fort Wayne Fire Department’s Engine 17 arrived to investigate a smoke detector alarm at the Woodhouse Spa. Firefighters encountered smoke inside the building and requested a structure fire response to their location. A small fire was found in a laundry room. An activated sprinkler in this room likely prevented any significant fire damage.
The entire building was searched and found to be unoccupied.
No injuries occurred at this incident, and the cause is being investigated.
