The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating a traffic accident involving a pedestrian that occurred May 31, 2023 at roughly 6:33 am in the area of Cherry St. and Main St. Preliminary information indicates that an adult male driver was traveling East on Main St. in a Toyota Camry when an adult male pedestrian crossed in front of his vehicle suddenly and was struck. The pedestrian did not cross at an intersection or cross walk and was transported to a local hospital in non-life threatening condition. The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with investigators. No arrest was made in this incident.
